The passing of another year brings another batch of books read. 2015 was the year of memorable reads. I read 17 books, the same number as last year, but the ratio of books that I look back with fondness vs those I deem forgettable after the fact is much higher.
The outstanding reads of this past year include Gaiman's Ocean at the End of the Lane (link to my review), as well as Silvia Moreno-Garcia's Signal to Noise (review). Both of these are incredible reads that I continue to think back and ponder as time passes by.
2015 also brings to a conclusion Gail Carriger's Finishing School series with Manners & Mutiny, the fourth and final book. I loved this whole series, and for the past three years I've been delighted by the style and characters in these books. Definitely a recommended series for the YA genre.
All in all a strong year for reading. 2016 started rapidly for me, with two books finished already. I hope I reach the quality bar set by 2015 as well.
