Hardest part is letting go

It's hard to let other people read my writing. What if it sucks and people think it's horrible!?

It's hard enough for me to like my own writing, with me always deleting sentences and crossing out words, scratching whole ideas out.

I spend a lot of time writing words and sentences. Maybe too much time. How do I know if they are any good?

Lots of self doubt in creative work. I should put more of it out there.

Put it all out there, we want to read it! Invent a pseudonym if you have to, shield yourself and remember that you will never be as bad as the authors of Twilight or 50 Shades. Lastly, watch Elizabeth Guilbert's TED talk on genius. It's ever only about 50% your talent, 50% some other force.
