Fragment1

Fragments of a new work:

I have never known courage. I avoid dangerous situations, especially from close moments with other people. I don't like conflict, and when anyone asks me a personal question, I always answer with, "Maybe, I don't know," so I don't have to deal with their possible rejection. Whenever I ask someone a question, it's always in the form of a mild self-effacing jab, like, "You wouldn't want me to cook dinner for you do you? I might burn down the house or you might get food poisoning." It's a cautious way to live but it's kept me safe, and alone.
